Beware though: organic tissue will begin forming everywhere as you make your exit. Now, exit the area and head back to the Back Hall. The elevator machine finally activates, and Daniel gets a nice sanity boost. Finally, head back over to the gear corner and pull down the lever next to the gears you placed earlier. Next, pull the lever to the left of the furnace to start burning the coal. Open the lid of the furnace and place the three coal balls into it. Once back in the actual machine room, you should see a small furnace due left of the large cog wheel. Now, go over to the coal piles and throw three coal balls into the previous room. In the back right corner, grab the Tinderbox on the bottom rung of the shelf. Immediately to the left upon entering, grab some oil from the Oil Barrel. This small room is mainly a coal closet, but it has some stuff to grab. After placing the gears, turn around and enter the side room on the opposite end of this area. Take the gears you've now collected and put them onto the spokes (the game will help you place them in the correct positions). On the back right wall, you should also see a large metal panel with three empty spokes. In the back right of this room, you should see a large gear wheel and some smaller gear networks coming off of it. Take this gear and throw it over to the others you brought in. You should find another gear stashed behind a crate and a barrel. After listening to the diary, look along the wall to the left of the door you entered through. Immediately to the right upon entering this room, grab Daniel's Diary - Haunted (3/3) on the small table. Now, take these gears into the nearby room at the bottom of the stairs. Right next to the top step, grab the other gear nearby and throw it down as well. As you leave the room, grab the large gear in the back right of the room and bring it with you.īack into the hallway, throw the gear you brought down the nearby flight of stairs. The following is the correct order: from left to right, insert the Flow Cycle Rod, Trinity Steam Rod, and Four-Phase Amplitude Rod. The goal is to put the flow rods you found earlier into the correct slots (use the names of the rods as your guide). Now, for the important part: Head to the panel with the shapes in the back of the room.
On the left side of the room, also be sure to pick up Daniel's Diary - Haunted (2/3), which is sitting on a small table. Towards the back left of the room, pick up the Machine Equipment Memo that is sitting on the nearby crate. In the back right corner of this room, open up the large chest and grab the two Tinderboxes inside.
